Working alongside the existing development team, the successful candidate will work across the team co-ordinating between developers and product specialists to develop and execute a thorough test strategy, design application test harnesses, improve the continuous deployment process, record and track software defects, and ensure that QA targets are met.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with a demonstrable ability to find defects in software, articulate the root cause and report back to the developers with suggested corrections in line with the user experienced expected of the software.
Advantageous to this role is an understanding of systems integration and the methods employed in achieving such solutions, such as API integration, database queries or network file manipulation.
Knowledge of QA methodology and tools
General knowledge of test methodologies, creating test plans and test strategies, creating test cases, and debugging
Basic understanding of testing methodologies and best practices
Experience or knowledge with testing applications built on the Microsoft technology stack
Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field
Experience with DevOps/Builds
